Suzlon wins 19.2 MW repeat order from the Baidyanath Group
- Second order to Suzlon from Sidhayu Aryuvedic Research Foundation, a
Baidyanath group company - New order to take the Baidyanath group wind portfolio to 26.7 MW
Pune: Suzlon Energy Limited (SEL), the worlds third leading* and Indias largest wind
turbine manufacturer, has won a repeat order from Siddhayu Ayurvedic Research
Foundation Private Limited a Baidyanath group company. Suzlon will set up, operate and
maintain the 19.2 MW project, which will be installed in the Dhule and Satara districts in the
state of Maharashtra. The project comprises of three units of Suzlons S82 1.5 MW, and
seven units of Suzlons S88 2.1 MW wind turbine generators (WTG).
The Baidyanath Group is a leading name in the field of Ayurvedic Medicines with a standing
of more than 90 years. Siddhayu Ayurvedic Research Foundation Private Limited, a
Baidyanath group company, is a leading manufacturer of private label, custom and preformulated
Ayurvedic Medicines, as well as organic and herbal products for reputed
domestic & international pharmaceutical companies. The 19.2 MW project is Sindhayus
second order with Suzlon and will take their wind portfolio to 26.7 MW.
The project will be set up in two phases and shall be completed by March 2011. The Group
plans to register the project with UNFCCC under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM).
