Suzlon receives another order from Datang China
- Repeat order increases total supply to Datang to 133.75 MW
- Repeat orders from existing customers are a sure sign of their confidence in Suzlon Sumant

China: Suzlon Energy (Tianjin) Limited a subsidiary of Suzlon Energy Limited (SEL), Indias leading
and worlds fifth largest wind power solutions company; strengthened its presence in the Chinese
wind energy market with another order for 48.75 MW. The contract, for 39 sets of S.64-1.25 MW
capacity was signed with Datang Power Generation Co.
Datang Power Generation Co. is one of top five power producers in China. The previous order from
the same customer was received for Zhuozi Phase I Project in Inner Mongolia and Liu'ao Project in
Fujian Province.
Speaking about the order, Mr. Paulo Soares CEO Suzlon Energy Tianjin Ltd said:
We are very happy with this repeat order from Datang. These turbines will be supplied as
extension of Zhuozi Wind Farm Phase I. Suzlon has previously supplied a total of 68 units of the S64
-1.25MW to this key customer for the same wind farm and for another project in Liuao,
Zhangzhou, Fujian Province. With this order, our total supply portfolio to Datang Power will be
increased to 133.75MW of which 68 turbines of 85MW capacity are already operational.
Mr. Sumant Sinha, COO, SEL, said on the occasion, For us in Suzlon, repeat orders from existing
customers are a sure sign of their confidence in us, our product and the overall experience that they
have with us. We view this order from Datang as a testimony to the way our turbines have
performed in their earlier projects, and therefore will strive to ensure that it continues in this project
as well
The turbines under this order are expected to be delivered and commissioned by the third quarter
of FY 2009-10.
