Suzlon organized an eye and dental screening camp for villagers in Kittampalayam, Coimbatore
- 113 villagers participated in the awareness and check-up camp
- 15 villagers were referred to Sankara Eye hospital for cataract operation
- District Blindness Eradication Society provided monetary help for the cataract operations
Coimbatore: Reiterating its commitment to improving the health and well-being of communities around
its areas of operation, Suzlon Foundation, in association with IMAYAM, an NGO, Sankara Eye Hospital
and RVS Dental College and Hospital, organised an eye and dental screening camp at Kittampalayam
village in Coimbatore. The objective of the camp was to create awareness in, and educate the local
communities about dental and eye related diseases.
A total of 113 villagers participated in the camp, out of which 15 villagers were diagnosed with cataract
and referred to Sankara Eye Hospital where they will be provided treatment.
The camp organized by Suzlon and its partners was attended by the village panchayat representatives
including Mr.JothimaniRangasamy, President, Kittampalayam Panchayat and Mr.Venkatachalam, Vice
President, Kittampalayam Panchayat.

operations. The awareness and screening program was organized to promote good health, prevent
diseases, and facilitate early diagnosis and treatment. We thank all our partners for extending their
